Plastic surgery is a procedure that repairs, corrects or embellishes the integumentary (pertaining to the skin, hair and nails) structure or the shape of the body. It is applicable to all anatomical regions except the inside of the skull, thorax and abdomen.


Plastic surgery includes:


Facial surgery: lifting, rhinoplasty, falling eyelids (blepharoplasty), ear pinning (otoplasty).


Chest surgery: lifting of the mammaries (ptosis), mammary reduction (breast hypertrophy), mammary augmentation (prosthesis), mammary reconstruction, excessive development of the mammary gland in men (gynecomastia).


Body surgery: abdominal surgery (abdominoplasty), liposuction, lifting of the thighs and arms, Genital surgery of the labia minora (nymphoplasty).


Cosmetic surgery: botox, radiesse, hyaluronic acid or lipostructure.


Reconstructive surgery:


Face: trauma, reconstruction due to losses incurred following an operation for cancer

Breasts: prosthesis reconstruction, flap reconstruction (following a mastectomy)


Limbs: fractures, gunshot trauma, pressure sores surgery


Burns: skin grafts


Hand surgery: amputation, synovial cysts, carpal tunnel


Dermatologic surgery: skin and soft tissue tumors, infections, scarring etc…


Congenital malformations: cleft lip and palate, otoplasty etc…
